Our History

Ariston Confectionery was established in 1967 by Mr. Antonis and Andreas Tsangarides. The company was primarily involved in the manufacturing of traditional sweets and pastries as well as in the making of handmade traditional wedding pastries (the locoumi).

It was the high quality of the locoumi that soon established Ariston as one of the best confectioner’s in Cyprus in the early 1970’s. At the same time the company was first to introduce FREE delivery service to its customers. It is also important to mention that in 1982, Ariston was the first Confectionery in Cyprus to use fresh cream in the production of cakes.

In the 1990’s the locoumi product was the No1 selling pastry of the business as the company had become well known in other cities apart from Nicosia.

In 1998 Ariston revolutionized once more by being the first company to imprint photos on top of the cakes with eatable materials.
